Final DX10000 CL Headphones
FINAL DX10000 CL CLOSED BACK FLAGSHIP HEADPHONES
Japanese HiFi brand Final has announced the Final DX10000 CL, a new flagship closed-back headphone featuring the company’s newly developed True Diamond diaphragm dynamic driver.
Pre-orders open on 9th July, with the first 150 units worldwide available as a limited Collector’s Edition before the standard version goes on sale.

The Final DX10000 CL has been developed as a closed-back design intended to combine the isolation and impact associated with this headphone format while addressing the resonance and colouration that can occur in sealed enclosures.

FINAL DX10000 CL TRUE DIAMOND DRIVER
At the centre of the DX10000 CL is a newly developed 40mm True Diamond diaphragm dynamic driver. The diaphragm’s diamond dome is produced using a Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process that creates a self-supporting diamond structure.
According to Final, the material’s rigidity, sound velocity and internal damping properties help the diaphragm maintain accurate piston movement while reducing unwanted vibration and distortion. The company says this is particularly important in a closed-back headphone, where the driver operates under increased air pressure within the sealed enclosure.
The driver incorporates a newly developed polyurethane surround, a lightweight polyimide bobbin-integrated voice coil, free-floating lead wires, an N55 neodymium magnet and an aluminium shorting ring. Final says these elements have been designed to improve driver control and reduce distortion.
The housing is precision-machined from an aluminium-magnesium alloy using five-axis CNC machining. Final says the rigid, airtight enclosure forms part of the headphone’s acoustic design, while internal cavities are filled with acoustic damping material to help control internal reflections. The completed headphone weighs 543g.

FINAL DX10000 CL COMFORT AND SERVICEABILITY
The DX10000 CL uses earpads covered in Ultrasuede®, paired with a specially selected foam material. Final says the controlled air permeability of the material allows the ear chamber to be managed while maintaining an effective acoustic seal.
The headphone is assembled using a 12-point through-bolt construction rather than adhesives. This allows the housing to be dismantled for servicing, with replaceable wear components intended to support long-term maintenance.
COLLECTOR’S EDITION AND ACCESSORIES
The first 150 DX10000 CL headphones will be released as a Collector’s Edition featuring gold-coloured accents. Each includes a traditional Japanese paulownia wood presentation box, a Shingen Pouch made from Tango Chirimen silk and a CNC-machined aluminium headphone stand.
The standard edition features silver-coloured accents and is supplied with the protective carrying case used across Final’s D Series headphones.
Both versions include two silver-coated OFC cables co-developed with Junkosha: a 1.5m cable terminated in 4.4mm and a 3m cable terminated in 4-pin XLR. Two adapters are also supplied, allowing connection from either cable to a 6.3mm output.

FINAL DX10000 CL KEY SPECIFICATIONS
The DX10000 CL features a 40mm True Diamond diaphragm dynamic driver housed in an aluminium-magnesium alloy enclosure. It has a sensitivity of 92dB/mW at 1kHz, an impedance of 20 ohms at 1kHz and is manufactured in Japan.
