Secret Chord Analogue (SCA) has announced the launch of the Secret Chord Analogue Vinyl Record Tracker (VRT), a new system designed to monitor the condition of vinyl collections over time rather than simply catalogue them.
The Secret Chord Analogue Vinyl Record Tracker System records wear, play history and cartridge condition during normal use, providing collectors and resellers with information about the ongoing state of their records.

According to SCA, VRT has been developed to complement its existing products and services. Dealers offering the company’s Record Restore range can use the system as an ongoing monitoring service, while owners of the AFI FLAT.DUO cartridge can track playback and wear data linked to their equipment. The aim is to provide greater visibility into record and cartridge use over time.

The Vinyl Record Tracker has been designed to minimise manual data entry when adding records to a collection. Once records have been entered, the system monitors condition over time, allowing owners to identify wear before it develops into more significant damage. VRT also integrates playback information with compatible hardware, including the AFI FLAT.DUO, and has been designed to work alongside SCA’s Record Restore service for resellers.
SECRET CHORD ANALOGUE EXPANDS ITS VINYL TOOLS
With the introduction of VRT, Secret Chord Analogue adds collection monitoring to its existing range of vinyl care products, which includes the Record Restore line and the AFI FLAT.DUO record flattener and relaxer. The new system is intended to help collectors keep track of the condition of both their records and playback equipment throughout regular use.
