Ideon Nous World Premiere At High End Vienna
IDEON NOUS TO MAKE WORLD PREMIERE AT HIGH END VIENNA 2026
Greek HiFi brand Ideon Audio will use High End Vienna 2026 to unveil the new IDEON Nous, a network streamer, DAC and analogue preamplifier designed as an all-in-one digital playback platform.
The Ideon Nous will make its world premiere during the show, marking the first public demonstration of the new component.
IDEON NOUS COMBINES STREAMING, DAC AND PREAMPLIFICATION
The IDEON Nous integrates a fully balanced DAC, network streaming engine and analogue preamplifier within a single chassis. Ideon Audio says the unit has been developed as a complete digital front-end rather than adapting off-the-shelf computing platforms and audio stages.
Streaming support includes Qobuz Connect, Spotify, AirPlay, UPnP, Audirvana, NAS playback and Roon Bridge compatibility. The company has also introduced a redesigned control and playback application intended to improve library management, navigation and day-to-day usability.
ANALOGUE AND DIGITAL CONNECTIVITY
The Nous follows a fully balanced signal-path design and incorporates a digitally controlled analogue volume control stage. Connectivity includes two balanced analogue inputs alongside USB Audio, optical and coaxial digital inputs, allowing the unit to be used with a range of external sources.
POWER SUPPLY AND INTERNAL DESIGN
According to Ideon Audio, the Nous employs separate power regulation stages for analogue and digital circuits, together with dual transformers dedicated to the two sections. The company states that the design focuses on minimising noise and maintaining signal integrity throughout the playback chain.
IDEON AUDIO AT HIGH END VIENNA 2026
Visitors to High End Vienna 2026 will be able to hear the world premiere of the IDEON Nous in the Ideon Audio room on Level 1, Room 1.68. The company will also present the European premiere of its Axiom DAC in collaboration with Brodmann Acoustics on Level -2, Room -2.41.
