Revox Studiomaster CD100 CD Player
REVOX STUDIOMASTER CD100 ADDS CD PLAYBACK TO REVOX STUDIOMASTER M500 AND M300 SYSTEMS
Revox has announced the Revox STUDIOMASTER CD100, a dedicated CD player designed for use with the Revox STUDIOMASTER M500 and M300 systems.
The Revox STUDIOMASTER CD100 player supports CD-DA and CD-R formats and has been developed for integration within Revox’s Multiuser 3.0 ecosystem.
REVOX STUDIOMASTER CD100 INTEGRATION WITH MULTIUSER 3.0
The Revox STUDIOMASTER CD100 connects to the M500 or M300 using a coaxial digital connection alongside a dedicated data cable for control functions. Revox includes its Control Port CD Player Connection Cable in the package, enabling plug-and-play setup via the USB port on the M500 or M300 and the RS232 control input on the player.
Configuration is automatic, with the connected source renamed “CD Player” within the system interface. Playback information and CD status can be displayed both in the Revox Multiuser app and on the front-panel displays of compatible components. Status messages include “Play”, “Pause”, “Stop”, “No CD” and “Read Error”.
The company says the CD100 switches on automatically when selected as a source and powers down when users move to another source on the M500 or M300. If the coaxial input is already occupied, optical or analogue inputs can also be configured manually.
CONTROL OPTIONS
Control options include front-panel buttons on the player itself, the Revox Multiuser app and Revox control systems when paired with the M500 or M300. Revox also confirms backward compatibility with the Joy S119 and S120 MKII network receivers via the CD-Link interface.
REVOX STUDIOMASTER CD100 TECHNICAL DETAILS
The CD100 uses a Burr-Brown PCM1796 DAC and includes coaxial and optical digital outputs. Revox quotes a frequency response of 5Hz–20kHz, THD + Noise figures below 0.0018% on the digital output and below 0.0019% on the analogue output, with signal-to-noise ratio specified at greater than 110dB at 1kHz.
The player measures 88 x 200 x 342mm and weighs 3kg. Finishes include black, white and silver. Accessories supplied include a power cable, control connection cable and coaxial cable.
REVOX CONTROL PORT CD PLAYER CONNECTION CABLE
Revox has also announced the separately available Control Port CD Player Connection Cable. The cable allows existing Revox Joy S22 CD players to connect with the STUDIOMASTER M500 and M300 systems for use within a Multiuser 3.0 network.
