Toki-O Nights Collaboration Between Technics And Toki Whisky
TOKI-O NIGHTS BY TOKI AND TECHNICS TO BRING LISTENING BAR CULTURE TO THE UK
Suntory Toki Whisky and Technics have announced Toki-O Nights, a new series of music-led listening bar events inspired by Tokyo’s kissaten and listening bar culture.
The programme will run from June to December 2026, with events taking place twice monthly across venues in London, Manchester and Edinburgh.

TOKI-O NIGHTS EVENTS
The series launches on the 3rd June at Spiritland and will continue at venues including Equal Parts, Bar Shrimp, Mitsu, Caley Bar, The Listening Room, Mad Cats, Archive & Myth and Jazu.

TOKI-O NIGHTS TO FEATURE TECHNICS EQUIPMENT AND VINYL-LED DJ SETS
The events will combine vinyl DJ performances with Japanese Highball serves centred around Suntory Toki Whisky. Technics will supply its SL-1200GR2 turntables and EAH-A800 headphones for the events, with performances focusing on jazz, soul and electronic music.
Artists named in the initial line-up include Nina Yamada, Mari Kimura and Zag Erlat, alongside additional vinyl DJs and selectors still to be announced.

TOKI-O NIGHTS TO INCLUDE WORKSHOPS AND Q&A SESSIONS
Alongside the free Wednesday evening DJ sessions, the organisers will also host ticketed events including workshops on Japanese vinyl culture and Q&A sessions with Technics HiFi specialists. Guests attending these sessions will also be shown how to prepare Japanese Highball cocktails.
Some participating venues will also feature dedicated listening stations throughout the month, allowing visitors to listen to curated music selections while sampling Toki Highballs.
TOKI-O NIGHTS CONTINUES LISTENING BAR TREND
Listening bars and kissaten-inspired venues have become increasingly visible across the UK in recent years, with a growing emphasis on vinyl playback, curated sound systems and more focused music-led social spaces. Toki-O Nights looks set to build on that trend by bringing together whisky service and DJ culture across a touring programme of events.
Further event and venue details, including ticket information and DJ line-ups, are expected to be released throughout the year.
HiFi PiG says: An interesting collab between Technics and Toki!
