ROSE ONE APP LAUNCH BRINGS UNIFIED EXPERIENCE ACROSS ALL PLATFORMS

ROSE One App Launched hifi news

The new ROSE One app has been introduced as the next-generation control platform, replacing the previous ROSE Connect Premium system.

The update centres on a single hybrid architecture designed to unify Android, iOS, Windows and macOS into one consistent application. This approach removes the need for separate platform-specific versions, enabling simultaneous updates, shared issue fixes, and a single version across all devices from the South Korean HiFi brand, previously known as HiFi Rose.

ROSE ONE APP ADDRESSES PREVIOUS PLATFORM LIMITATIONS

The move to a unified codebase follows limitations identified in the earlier platform-specific structure. Previously, feature rollouts varied between operating systems, and updates or fixes were delivered at different times depending on the platform. Version management was also fragmented. ROSE One resolves these issues by introducing a single-source system, allowing updates and fixes to be applied universally and at the same time.

USER INTERFACE CHANGES

Navigation within the ROSE One app has been redesigned with a simplified structure. Menus have been consolidated, and a unified library now brings together favourites, playlists and feeds in one place. Visual elements have also been updated, including larger and more varied thumbnails to improve readability. A dedicated classical music section has been added to support genre browsing across integrated services.

PLAYBACK AND CONTROL FEATURES

Playback functionality has been enhanced with features aimed at improving usability. These include lock screen controls, background playback support, and real-time feedback for volume and playback position. The playback interface has been updated with larger control areas and an album art-focused display. Queue management has also been streamlined, with options such as auto-play for recommended tracks.

ROSE ONE APP CONNECTIVITY AND DEVICE MANAGEMENT

The app introduces IP-based automatic device detection and reconnection, allowing users to reconnect to previously used devices even after network changes. An IP search bar is now displayed by default to simplify device discovery. These updates are intended to reduce setup time and improve reliability when switching between networks or devices.

CONTENT INTEGRATION AND DISCOVERY

Content integration has been expanded within ROSE One. The app now supports TIDAL video content, enhanced Qobuz curation, and broader integration with RoseTube. A taste-based recommendation system provides automated suggestions for albums and artists, while label browsing and curated playlists offer additional discovery options. Classical music support has also been extended across multiple streaming services.

ROSE ONE APP LIBRARY AND SOCIAL FEATURES

Library management has been updated with folder-based organisation and multi-select editing, allowing users to move or delete multiple tracks at once. Playback availability for network and DLNA content can be checked directly within the library. Social features have also been refined, with improved visibility of user profiles, playlists and activity feeds, alongside simplified access to personal pages.

HiFi Rose, now known as ROSE are distributed in the UK by Henley Audio.

HiFi PiG says: Looks like a well thought out and practical app for ROSE users.
