Oladra From Antipodes Audio
ANTIPODES AUDIO OLADRA PLATFORM MARKS LAUNCH OF NEW BRAND
New Zealand-based Antipodes Audio has announced the completion of the Oladra Platform and the formation of Oladra as a separate brand focused on digital audio sources, with the first two products announced as the Oladra Sentia and Oladra Presence.
The move formalises a development approach that has evolved over more than a decade, centred on how digital playback systems influence the musical result at the point where a file or stream becomes a signal.
OLADRA PLATFORM DESIGN APPROACH
The Oladra Platform has been developed as a purpose-built system rather than an adaptation of general computing architecture. Antipodes Audio states that conventional computing designs introduce variability in processing, power demand, and electrical behaviour, which can affect signal formation. The Oladra Platform instead combines hardware, firmware and software into a unified architecture designed specifically for audio playback.
A key principle behind the Oladra Platform is that the structure of the audio signal is determined at the source and cannot be fully corrected downstream. According to Antipodes Audio, maintaining stable timing relationships and controlled system behaviour at this stage allows the signal to retain its integrity throughout the playback chain. This approach aims to reduce the need for corrective processes later in the system.
OLADRA SENTIA
The first product based on the platform, Sentia, is described as a complete implementation of the Oladra Platform. It is designed as a standalone digital source that integrates all elements of the system architecture, supporting both streaming services and local music libraries.
OLADRA PRESENCE
The second model, Presence, builds on the same platform with further refinement in its physical and architectural design. It is positioned as an extended implementation of the Oladra Platform, again supporting both streaming and locally stored music.
OLADRA BRAND AND ANTIPODES AUDIO STRUCTURE
Oladra has been established as a distinct brand to allow this platform-based approach to develop independently. Antipodes Audio remains the parent company and will continue to produce its existing Kala range of digital audio sources alongside the new Oladra products.
OLADRA SENTIA AND PRESENCE PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
Oladra Sentia is priced from USD 35,000 and Presence from USD 58,000, they are available now with a public debut at AXPONA 2026.
