THE SPINNING ROOM HIFI LISTENING LOUNGE OPENS AT SUNNY BANK MILLS
Leeds-based HiFi retailer The Spinning Room HiFi has announced the opening of a new dedicated demonstration space called The Spinning Room HiFi Listening Lounge.
The room has been created to allow customers to experience HiFi systems in a quieter, more controlled environment away from the retailer’s main showroom.
THE SPINNING ROOM HIFI LISTENING LOUNGE DESIGNED AS A SEPARATE DEMONSTRATION SPACE
The new Listening Lounge area sits within the same premises as the retailer’s existing showroom at Sunny Bank Mills in Leeds, an established arts and cultural hub. According to the company, the space was developed to give visitors the opportunity to evaluate equipment without the distractions of a busy retail floor.
Rather than following the format of many traditional retail demonstration rooms, the listening lounge has been designed to replicate the scale and feel of a typical domestic listening space. The intention is to give customers a clearer sense of how systems may perform in a home setting while still maintaining good acoustic performance.
A SPACE FOR SYSTEM MATCHING AND LISTENING COMPARISONS
The room is intended to allow visitors to explore different system combinations and configurations in a controlled environment. By separating demonstrations from the main showroom area, The Spinning Room HiFi says customers can spend more time listening and comparing equipment without interruption.
ACOUSTIC PLANNING
The retailer also suggests the room may serve as a useful reference for visitors interested in creating dedicated listening spaces at home. The setup demonstrates how factors such as acoustic treatment, system matching and room layout can influence system performance.
