Final has introduced the Final DX4000CL closed-back headphones, expanding its DX series between the existing DX3000CL and flagship DX6000CL models.

The new model is available from today.

The DX series focuses on addressing common characteristics of closed-back headphones such as emphasised bass and limited soundstage. With the Final DX4000CL, the company continues its approach of aiming for balanced, controlled sound and improved spatial presentation.

According to Final, the DX4000CL is tuned for a neutral, controlled response with reduced low-frequency emphasis. The design is intended to provide clear bass reproduction without dominating the overall presentation. The headphones are described as delivering natural vocal reproduction, clear instrumental detail and a more open sense of space than typically associated with closed-back designs.

FINAL DX4000CL DRIVER AND ACOUSTIC DESIGN

At the centre of the Final DX4000CL is a newly developed dynamic driver designed to control diaphragm movement and airflow within the housing. The internal acoustic structure has been tuned to reduce unwanted resonance and maintain clarity during complex passages. The aim is to support detailed reproduction across the frequency range while maintaining separation and control.

The Final DX4000CL is supplied with a silver-coated cable intended to support signal transmission and maintain clarity in fine detail. This forms part of the overall design approach to preserve transparency and resolution across the headphone’s performance.
