Connected-Fidelity UNITY Mains Power Cable With ‘Wirewound Technologies’
CONNECTED-FIDELITY UNITY MAINS POWER CABLE WITH ‘WIREWOUND TECHNOLOGIES’ LAUNCHED
Connected-Fidelity has announced a new version of its UNITY mains power cable, now incorporating what it calls ‘wirewound technologies’.
The cable is designed to be used with audio systems to support consistent performance from connected components.

The company states that the UNITY range was originally developed to provide a balanced presentation with a sense of openness, timing and dynamics across the frequency range. The addition of the wirewound design element is intended to address issues associated with inconsistent or noisy mains power, which can affect audio and AV performance.
TECHNOLOGY DETAILS
According to Connected-Fidelity, the ‘wirewound technologies’ used in the new cable avoid both conventional filter-based approaches and the use of crystals or rare earth materials. Instead, the design relies on a specific wire-winding method that the manufacturer says can mitigate some of the effects of contaminated power supplies.
The company reports that the revised design aims to produce a quieter background and clearer soundscape while maintaining the dynamic behaviour and tonal characteristics associated with earlier UNITY cables. The intention is not to alter system voicing but to reduce unwanted noise that may mask detail.
CONNECTED-FIDELITY UNITY MAINS POWER CABLE WITH ‘WIREWOUND TECHNOLOGIES’ LENGTHS AND AVAILABILITY
UNITY cables with the new construction are offered in standard lengths starting at 1.0 metre, increasing in 0.5 metre increments up to 4.0 metres. Longer lengths are available as custom orders.
UK retail pricing starts from £969 for a 1.0 metre cable.
