PS AUDIO FOUNDRY F12 SUBWOOFER LAUNCHED, THE FIRST FROM THE AMERICAN HiFi BRAND
PS Audio Foundry F12 Subwoofer marks the company’s first dedicated subwoofer design.
PS Audio has introduced the Foundry F12 subwoofer, its first standalone subwoofer product. Designed as a general-purpose low-frequency solution, the PS Audio Foundry F12 subwoofer is intended for use with a wide range of HiFi and home cinema loudspeakers, rather than being limited to a specific PS Audio system.
PS AUDIO FOUNDRY F12 SUBWOOFER
The PS Audio Foundry F12 subwoofer uses a newly developed 12-inch high-excursion driver mounted in a sealed enclosure. The driver features a long-throw design exceeding 2.5 inches, supported by a large Nomex spider and a motor system with dual shorting rings to maintain magnetic stability. The cone is made from paper with a carbon fibre dust cap, chosen to balance stiffness, mass and damping.
Power is supplied by a built-in high-current amplifier rated at 1,000 watts continuous, fed by an 1,800-watt power supply. PS Audio states that the Foundry F12 is capable of delivering controlled low-frequency output below 20Hz, with a quoted maximum output of 113dB at two metres. Frequency response is specified at –6dB at 20Hz anechoic, extending flat below 20Hz in-room with room gain.

DSP AND CONTROL
DSP-based room correction is a core feature of the PS Audio Foundry F12 subwoofer and is accessed via the new PS Audio Foundry control app for iOS and Android. The app allows users to address common room-related bass issues such as peaks and cancellations. Setup can be carried out manually or using an automatic EQ function, which does not require an external measurement microphone.
User control includes volume, crossover, delay, phase and parametric EQ, along with high- and low-pass filtering. Multiple presets can be stored for different listening scenarios. In addition to app control, the subwoofer also provides rear-panel controls and a full range of balanced, single-ended and speaker-level connections.
PS AUDIO FOUNDRY F12 SUBWOOFER OPTIONS AND CONFIGURATION
An optional wireless transmitter module is available for the PS Audio Foundry F12 subwoofer, using WiSA E 24/96 wireless technology to remove the need for signal cables while maintaining low latency. For larger rooms or higher output requirements, an optional stacking kit allows multiple Foundry F12 subwoofers to be securely connected together.

PS AUDIO FOUNDRY F12 SUBWOOFER AVAILABILITY AND PRICE
