MEZE AUDIO STRADA CLOSED-BACK HEADPHONES UNVEILED
Romanian HeadFi brand Meze has announced the new Meze Audio STRADA, a new closed-back dynamic headphone designed to combine isolation-friendly listening with a refined build and a carefully balanced sound signature.
The Meze Audio STRADA is positioned as a closed-back model aimed at listeners who want a more immersive and personal listening experience, whether at home or on the move.

Meze Audio says the design focuses on tonal balance, spatial realism, and long-term comfort, with noise isolation intended to create a self-contained listening space for extended sessions.
According to Meze Audio, the STRADA has been tuned to deliver a controlled and articulate sound profile. The low frequencies feature a modest lift intended to add weight and impact without overwhelming the rest of the spectrum. The midrange is described as neutral and transparent, designed to present vocals and instruments clearly, while the treble aims for extension and detail without introducing listening fatigue.
CLOSED-BACK DESIGN AND FIT
The chassis of the Meze Audio STRADA takes inspiration from the company’s LIRIC series, adapted here for use with a dynamic driver. The headphones are hand-assembled and designed to be lightweight, with an emphasis on comfort during long listening sessions. Meze Audio highlights the adaptable fit and overall ergonomics as a key part of the STRADA’s design brief.
MEZE AUDIO STRADA DYNAMIC DRIVER TECHNOLOGY
At the core of the Meze Audio STRADA is a 50mm dynamic driver derived from the one used in the 109 PRO, retuned specifically for closed-back operation. The driver uses a carbon fibre-reinforced cellulose composite dome for stiffness and reduced distortion, while the surrounding torus is made from a semicrystalline polymer coated with beryllium using Physical Vapour Deposition. Additional design elements, including angled grooves and a copper-zinc alloy stabiliser ring, are intended to control unwanted vibrations and improve transient response.
MATERIALS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP
The Meze Audio STRADA features Macassar ebony earcups, chosen for both their acoustic properties and distinctive appearance. Each pair is visually unique due to the natural grain of the wood. The magnesium frame is finished in a deep metallic green, applied in multiple layers. Practical touches include magnetically attached ear pads for easy replacement and a padded headband designed to distribute pressure evenly while maintaining airflow.
Meze Audio states that the STRADA has been designed with long-term ownership in mind. The headphones use a fully serviceable construction, with replaceable components intended to extend product lifespan. This approach aligns with the company’s broader focus on durability and sustainability through repair rather than replacement.
MEZE AUDIO UK DISTRIBUTION UPDATE
Alongside the launch of the Meze Audio STRADA, Meze Audio has confirmed the appointment of HEA Distribution as its new UK distributor, effective immediately. HEA Distribution will oversee UK retail and consumer sales, as well as PR, marketing, and brand support for Meze Audio’s full product range. The Meze Audio account will be led by HEA Commercial Director Matt Esau, who has previously worked closely with the brand in the UK market, providing continuity for retailers. The partnership is intended to strengthen Meze Audio’s UK presence and support upcoming product launches, including the Meze Audio STRADA.
