BANG & OLUFSEN BEOLAB 90 TITAN EDITION MARKS A CENTURY OF CRAFTSMANSHIP AND INNOVATION
Bang & Olufsen is marking its 100th anniversary with the release of the Bang & Olufsen Beolab 90 Titan Edition, a new interpretation of its flagship loudspeaker.
Founded in 1925 by Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen in Struer, Denmark, the company has built its reputation on combining engineering innovation with refined craftsmanship.
BANG & OLUFSEN BEOLAB 90 TITAN EDITION
Created through Bang & Olufsen’s Atelier service, the Beolab 90 Titan Edition celebrates a century of the company’s acoustic and design expertise. This version reveals the structural core of the original Beolab 90, emphasising the material beauty of its construction. The 65kg aluminium cabinet is hand-sandblasted with fine volcanic rock particles to achieve a natural, textured surface, while polished base panels are designed to create an impression of lightness and balance.

MACHINED ALUMINIUM
Attention to detail is evident throughout. The face mask is machined from a single block of aluminium over a twelve-hour process, with grooves that radiate outwards in patterns reminiscent of sound waves. Each component has been carefully finished, from the precision aluminium fittings to the subtle contrast between matte and polished surfaces. Laser engravings mark the company’s centenary, and bespoke fasteners with small apertures add visual depth when illuminated.
18 DRIVERS
First launched in 2015, the Beolab 90 has remained one of Bang & Olufsen’s most technically advanced loudspeakers. It incorporates 18 handcrafted drivers, each powered by its own amplifier and managed through digital signal processing. This allows for adjustable sound dispersion, providing either focused listening or a full 360-degree sound field.
Many of the technologies developed for the Beolab 90 have since influenced the wider product range, including the Beolab 28 and Beosound Theatre. The same focus on precision and adaptability also extends to Bang & Olufsen’s newer portable models, such as the Beoplay H100 headphones and Beo Grace earphones, bringing the character of the company’s loudspeakers to smaller formats.

The Beolab 90 Titan Edition is the first in a planned series of five Atelier editions celebrating Bang & Olufsen’s centenary.
