PRESTO MUSIC STREAMING ARRIVES IN ELEVEN NEW TERRITORIES
Presto Music has extended its classical and jazz streaming service into eleven additional Asian territories, bringing its total global reach to 46 countries.
Listeners in Japan, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Macau can now access the service. This expansion marks another step in Presto Music’s international growth as it continues to connect audiences with high-quality classical and jazz recordings.
PRESTO MUSIC HUMAN-CURATED APPROACH TO STREAMING
Unlike many algorithm-driven platforms, Presto Music Streaming emphasises expert human curation. Drawing on decades of experience in recorded music and a strong editorial tradition, the platform features curated playlists, in-depth reviews, and exclusive editorial content. This approach offers listeners the opportunity to explore both major works and lesser-known recordings with greater context and insight.
THE FAIR PLAY INITIATIVE MODEL FOR ARTIST PAYMENT
At the heart of the Presto Music Streaming model is its Fair Play Initiative. Instead of paying artists per track played, Presto compensates musicians per second of music streamed. This approach aims to offer fairer returns to artists, particularly within the classical and jazz genres where pieces are typically longer than mainstream pop or rock tracks. Find out more here.
PRESTO MUSIC STREAMING AND ITS ASIAN EXPANSION
Chris O’Reilly, CEO of Presto Music, pictured below, said the move reflects both listener demand and the company’s values.
“We’re thrilled to bring Presto Music Streaming to more audiences across Asia than any other high-quality streaming service. This expansion reflects not only the appetite for classical and jazz music in these vibrant markets but also our belief that streaming should support the people who create the music. Our Fair Play Initiative, human curation, and expert editorial approach mean listeners can engage deeply with the music, while artists are treated with the respect they deserve.”
