FiiO FT13 WOODEN HEADPHONES LAUNCHED
FiiO has released the new FiiO FT13 closed-back headphones, following earlier models including the FT1, FT3, FT5, and FT7. The FiiO FT13 uses natural purpleheart wood for its earcups.
Purpleheart wood is a dense South American hardwood known for its stable acoustic properties.

The wood naturally changes colour over time, gradually shifting from light brown to a deeper purple. Each pair is machined, stabilised and lacquer-finished, resulting in a unique grain pattern and appearance.

FIIO FT13 DRIVERS AND ACOUSTIC DESIGN
Inside the headphones is a 60mm dynamic driver using a W-shaped diaphragm. The design increases the vibration surface, aiming for improved responsiveness across low, mid and high frequencies. A U-shaped damping tube, sound-absorbing material, and internal noise-reduction chamber are included to help control resonance and reduce external noise by up to 26dB. The FT13 is a closed-back design intended to provide a focused and direct listening environment.
CONNECTIVITY AND CABLE OPTIONS
The FiiO FT13 has been developed to be compatible with a wide range of playback equipment. With a low impedance and high sensitivity, it can be driven by smartphones, laptops, portable music players and dedicated headphone amplifiers. The headphones include a detachable cable system made from Furukawa monocrystalline copper combined with silver-plated copper. Both 3.5mm and balanced 4.4mm terminations are supplied as standard.

COMFORT AND BUILD
The earcups use breathable memory foam to support long listening sessions, while overall weight is listed at around 356g (excluding cable). The clamping force is designed to create a firm but comfortable fit. The use of purpleheart wood and metal components gives the FT13 a solid construction while maintaining a traditional headphone form factor.
FIIO FT13 HEADPHONES PRICING
