FACTOR ONE BALANCED POWER BMU-2500, BMU-2510, BMU-2500SE & BMU-2510SE
Factor One has introduced a new range of Balanced Mains Units for HiFi system power management.
The new Factor One Balanced Mains Units range consists of the BMU-2500 and BMU-2510, along with Special Edition versions of both models, the BMU-2500SE and BMU-2510SE.
The units are designed to provide balanced power output with protective measures intended to support stable system operation.
FACTOR ONE BALANCED MAINS UNITS POWER BMU-2500 AND BMU-2510
The Balanced Power BMU-2500 supplies up to 2500 watts and includes six output sockets. The BMU-2510 is based on the same design but provides ten sockets to support systems with a larger number of components. Both models use balanced power transformer arrangements and incorporate measures to limit interference from external electrical noise. Additionally, they include surge, overload, short circuit, and thermal protection, as well as DC blocking.
DEVELOPMENT OF THE SPECIAL EDITION MODELS
The Special Edition versions, BMU-2500SE and BMU-2510SE, were created in response to requests for models positioned between the standard units and more customised builds. These SE models were developed following technical and listening evaluations across a variety of system configurations.
FACTOR ONE BALANCED POWER SPECIAL EDITION UPGRADES
The Factor One Balanced Power BMU-2500SE and BMU-2510SE incorporate a number of component changes compared with the standard versions. These include Mundorf capacitors and resistors, Vishay Schottky diodes, modified internal wiring looms from Neotech, different relay types and added chassis damping. The core power-balancing and protection design remains the same across both standard and SE units, with the SE models offering an alternative specification option.
DESIGN AND FINISH
All units in the range are available with either a silver or black brushed finish. They are designed for use alongside a variety of audio equipment in domestic HiFi systems.
