Norwegian HiFi brand Arendal Sound is celebrating its tenth anniversary with the launch of the Arendal Sound 1528 Tower 8 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition.
This exclusive model combines the company’s hallmark engineering with a distinctive rosewood finish, only 25 numbered pairs will be produced.
ARENDAL SOUND 1528 TOWER 8 LIMITED 10TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION LOUDSPEAKER
Each Arendal Sound 1528 Tower 8 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition loudspeaker features a rosewood cabinet finished in 12 layers of hand-polished piano lacquer, paired with a satin-black front baffle, waveguide assembly, woofer trim, and base bars. The speakers also include upgraded Puck Pro feet, offering enhanced isolation compared with the standard model’s Puck Plus design.
Every speaker carries a unique number on a chrome-plated stainless-steel rear plaque, laser-etched with CEO Jan Ove Lassesen’s signature, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Chief Technical Officer Thomas Gunvaldsen. Due to natural variations in the rosewood veneer, each speaker set is visually unique.
DESIGN INSPIRED BY NORWEGIAN HERITAGE
The rosewood finish pays homage to mid-century Norwegian design, which embraced the material for its strength, rich tone, and distinctive grain. This connection reflects Arendal Sound’s blend of form and function echoing the spirit of Norway’s design icons such as Hans Brattrud and Torbjørn Afdal.
Arendal Sound notes that this anniversary model celebrates not just its milestone but also the craftsmanship traditions that have influenced its approach to loudspeaker design.
PERFORMANCE OF THE ARENDEL SOUND 1528 TOWER 8
The Arendal Sound 1528 Tower 8 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition employs a 3-way configuration with a 28mm lithium–magnesium tweeter, 5in carbon–graphene midrange, and four 8in aluminium bass drivers.
The 1528 Tower 8’s precision-engineered 85mm-thick baffle ensures time alignment between drivers for cohesive sound reproduction. Its curved profile optimises driver placement relative to the listening position.
As with all Arendal Sound products, the 1528 Tower 8 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition will be available exclusively through the brand’s direct-to-consumer website. This approach allows Arendal Sound to maintain control over production, quality, and pricing while ensuring customers receive maximum value without traditional retail mark-ups.
