Henley Audio has announced the UK availability of, and will exhibit the Pro-Ject Signature 12.2 And The Classic Reference Turntables at Ascot, this weekend.
PRO-JECT SIGNATURE 12.2 LAUNCHES IN THE UK
Henley Audio has announced the arrival of Pro-Ject’s new flagship turntable, the Signature 12.2. Making its official UK debut at the UK HiFi Show Live 2025 in Ascot, the Signature 12.2 represents Pro-Ject’s most ambitious design to date. Each deck is handmade in Europe, comprising more than 100 CNC-machined components that are individually polished over two days before final assembly.
The chassis features ten layers of piano black lacquer, shaped to minimise resonance, and rests on spring-loaded feet adjustable from above for precise levelling. At its heart is a 10.5kg aluminium platter topped with recycled, baked vinyl records – a sustainable approach that also enhances resonance control. A new 12-inch aluminium tonearm with a 3-point pivot bearing replaces the earlier uni-pivot design, offering improved stability and tracking for demanding moving-coil cartridges.
The Signature 12.2 is available in the UK at £10,599.

PRO-JECT THE CLASSIC REFERENCE ARRIVES
Joining the Signature 12.2 is The Classic Reference, which draws on the design heritage of The Classic EVO and the limited-edition 175 Vienna Philharmonic model. While the 175 VPO became a collector’s piece, The Classic Reference carries much of its engineering into continuous production, offering enthusiasts a more accessible option.
It is built around an aluminium/MDF sandwich chassis with TPE suspension and a TPE-damped aluminium platter. The EVO 9 AS HG tonearm incorporates ultra-low friction bearings housed in a robust aluminium block, while an SME connector allows quick cartridge swaps. Connectivity is comprehensive, with both RCA and balanced XLR outputs available – the latter ensuring studio-grade, noise-free performance.
Prices are £4,349 for the Piano/Silver finish and £5,199 for the Acacia/Brass edition.

UPGRADES AND POWER SUPPLY OPTIONS
Both the Signature 12.2 and The Classic Reference use Pro-Ject’s internal AC generator system for clean motor drive and stable speeds. For those seeking further performance gains, Pro-Ject offers upgrades including the Power Box RS2 Phono (£799) and Phono Box RS2 (£1,399).
