GRIMM AUDIO PW1, MARANTZ 10 SERIES, AND DALI EPIKORE 3 TO STAR AT UK HIFI SHOW LIVE 2025
HiFi PiG’s Oscar and Kelly will be reporting from the UK HiFi Show Live 2025 at Ascot, where some of the world’s most respected names in audio will be showcasing their latest systems.
Running on the 27th and 28th of September at the Ascot Racecourse Grandstand, the show once again promises a strong line-up of equipment for enthusiasts to explore.
GRIMM AUDIO PW1 PHONO STAGE WITH VIVID AUDIO GIYA G2
Sound Design Distribution will present Grimm Audio’s brand-new PW1 phono stage, nicknamed the Phono Wizard, in partnership with a UK-built Onkk turntable. For loudspeakers, the distributor has chosen the Giya G2 from Vivid Audio, designed by Lawrence Dickie. The Giya G2 loudspeakers employ a tapered horn absorber cabinet, derived from the larger Giya G1, and use twin 175mm woofers to deliver their distinctive sound.
MARANTZ 10 SERIES WITH BOWERS & WILKINS 803 D4
Marantz will demonstrate its flagship 10 Series amplifier, SACD player/DAC, and the new Link 10n network player. The system will be paired with Bowers & Wilkins 803 D4 floorstanding loudspeakers. The 803 D4s, introduced as a slightly smaller sibling to the brand’s 801 D4, still incorporate many of the engineering advances of the flagship and are powered here by the Purifi-based Class D output stage of the Marantz amplifier.
DALI EPIKORE 3 WITH LYNGDORF TDAI-2210
Danish loudspeaker specialist DALI will showcase the Epikore 3, the only standmount in its Epikore range. The Epikore 3 features the EVO-K Hybrid Tweeter, shared with the flagship Epikore 11 floorstander, and a 175mm Clarity Cone bass/mid driver. At Ascot, the speakers will be partnered with the Lyngdorf TDAI-2210 integrated amplifier. The TDAI-2210 offers 2x105W into 8 ohms, combines ‘True Digital’ amplification with RoomPerfect EQ, and allows for expansion through optional input modules. Lyngdorf founder Peter Lyngdorf also established DALI back in 1983, making this pairing particularly fitting.
