Metronome has launched its first dedicated music server, the Metronome DSAS Digital Sharing Audio Server, following its debut at High End Munich 2025.

METRONOME COLLABORATION WITH AUDIRVĀNA
The Metronome DSAS Digital Sharing Audio Server is the result of a collaboration between Metronome and software specialist Audirvāna. This partnership brings together Metronome’s experience in high-end digital playback and Audirvāna’s established music management platform.
BUILT-IN AUDIRVĀNA STUDIO
The server comes with native integration of Audirvāna Studio, providing users with full control of their music libraries and streaming services. A three-year subscription to Audirvāna Studio is included, along with a perpetual licence for Audirvāna Origin for those who prefer local file management without streaming.
FEATURES AND FUNCTIONS OF AUDIRVĀNA
Through the dedicated app, users can manage local and online libraries, organise playlists, and access internet radio and podcasts. Audirvāna’s playback engine is designed to deliver optimised audio quality. Current limitations include the absence of file metadata editing and built-in signal processing such as equalisation.

The Metronome DSAS Digital Sharing Audio Server is equipped with a 2TB internal SSD as standard, with the option to expand to 4TB. Connectivity options include Ethernet, WiFi, and external USB storage, offering flexibility in system integration.
SUPPORTED FORMATS
According to the technical specification, the Metronome DSAS Digital Sharing Audio Server supports PCM playback up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD up to DSD512. Compatibility extends across common file formats including WAV, AIFF, FLAC, ALAC, MP3, and AAC.

On the rear panel, the Metronome DSAS Digital Sharing Audio Server provides multiple USB connections for external storage, as well as an HDMI output. Network connectivity is handled via Gigabit Ethernet and dual-band WiFi. The unit also includes a dedicated USB Audio output for direct connection to a DAC.

As expected from the brand, the Metronome DSAS Digital Sharing Audio Server continues the company’s focus on combining technical precision with considered industrial design. The chassis is constructed to match the look of Metronome’s other digital components, with a layout aimed at ease of integration into high-end systems.
The Metronome DSAS Digital Sharing Audio Server measures 425mm wide, 90mm high, and 435mm deep, with a weight of 9kg, making it a substantial but manageable addition to a system rack.
