ELIPSON HORUS ACTIVE BT RANGE INTRODUCED
Elipson has expanded its Horus loudspeaker line with the launch of the Elipson Horus Active BT range, which includes two new active models: the compact Horus 6B Active BT bookshelf speaker and the Horus 11F Active BT floorstander.
Both bring integrated amplification, versatile connectivity, and a design aesthetic in keeping with the passive Horus series.
ELIPSON HORUS ACTIVE BT SPEAKERS
The Elipson Horus Active BT speakers each house 2 x 50W RMS stereo amplification, working in tandem with a bass reflex enclosure for added low-end performance. Their drivers include cellulose pulp bass-midrange units reinforced with glass fibre, and 25 mm silk dome tweeters powered by neodymium magnets, aiming to deliver a natural and accurate sound.
In terms of styling, the Horus Active BT models come in three finishes: Light Wood with Beige, Walnut with Dark Grey, and Black with Carbon. The understated look is consistent with the wider Horus range.
ELIPSON HORUS ACTIVE BT CONNECTIVITY OPTIONS
Connectivity is a strong feature of the Horus Active BT range. Both speakers include Aux, MM phono, coaxial (24-bit/192 kHz), optical (24-bit/192 kHz), USB audio (24-bit/96 kHz), HDMI ARC, and Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD. This flexibility allows direct connection to a wide range of sources including turntables, televisions, computers, and mobile devices.
The integrated phono input means a turntable can be connected without an external preamplifier, making the system particularly attractive to vinyl listeners. The HDMI ARC connection offers a straightforward way to enhance TV audio, while the USB input makes the 6B Active BT suitable as an audiophile desktop speaker, capable of improving everyday computer listening.
ELIPSON HORUS 11F ACTIVE BT AND 6B ACTIVE BT SPECIFICATIONS
The Horus 11F Active BT floorstander features two 130 mm cellulose pulp mid-bass drivers and a 25 mm silk dome tweeter, with a frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz (±3dB). The Horus 6B Active BT bookshelf speaker, by contrast, uses a single 130 mm mid-bass driver paired with the same tweeter, offering a frequency response of 55 Hz to 22 kHz (±3dB). Both share input sensitivity figures of 500 mV for Aux and 7.5 mV for the phono input.

The Elipson Horus 6B Active BT is available now at £399 (inc VAT), while the Horus 11F Active BT will follow in early October at £899 (inc VAT).
