CAMPFIRE AUDIO GRAND LUNA PLANAR BALANCED ARMATURE HYBRID EARPHONES ANNOUNCED
Campfire has unveiled the Campfire Audio Grand Luna, its first earphone to combine a planar magnetic driver with balanced armature units.
The Portland-based manufacturer continues its work with planar technology, adding a hybrid configuration that blends one 14mm planar magnetic driver with two custom balanced armatures.
CAMPFIRE AUDIO GRAND LUNA DRIVER DESIGN
At the heart of the Grand Luna is a newly developed 14mm planar driver designed to handle low and mid frequencies with depth and speed. Two balanced armature drivers take care of the high frequencies, extending up to 30kHz while aiming for a smooth, fatigue-free presentation.

ACOUSTIC HOUSING
The new model makes use of Campfire’s Additive Acoustic Optical Inclusion housing, a 3D-printed design that integrates acoustic chambers for precise tuning. Each shell is internally dyed red and externally transparent, while a brushed stainless-steel lid with a flame-treated logo completes the finish.
HAND-ASSEMBLED
Each Grand Luna unit is built in small batches and hand-assembled in Portland, Oregon. The stainless-steel lid is treated and finished individually, giving each pair of earphones a unique appearance alongside its technical performance.
CAMPFIRE AUDIO GRAND LUNA MODULAR CABLE
The release also marks the debut of Campfire Audio’s new modular cable system. Buyers will find three swappable terminations included in the box: 3.5mm single-ended, 4.4mm balanced, and a USB-C DAC option, the latter built around the Cirrus Logic Master HiFi CS43131 chip.
CAMPFIRE AUDIO GRAND LUNA PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The Campfire Audio Grand Luna will be available now at a price of £1399 / $1399.
