FiiO ENTERS POWERED SPEAKER MARKET WITH SP5 ACTIVE SPEAKERS
FiiO has announced the launch of the FiiO SP5 Active Speaker System, its first active speaker offering.
Designed for desktop and nearfield applications, the SP5 is intended for use in home studios or as part of a compact HiFi setup.
FiiO SP5 ACTIVE SPEAKERS
Each SP5 speaker operates with a dedicated 120W power supply. This dual arrangement keeps power delivery separate between left and right channels, reducing the risk of interference and offering stable output across both units.
FOUR-CHANNEL AMPLIFICATION AND ROHACELL DRIVERS
Inside each speaker is a four-channel amplifier delivering 60W to the 5.25-inch Rohacell-cone woofer and 20W to the 1-inch silk dome tweeter. Rohacell is a lightweight, rigid material commonly used in loudspeaker cones. The tweeter includes a rear cavity and internal magnet structure.
TUNING OPTIONS FOR DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENTS
The SP5 features a three-band tone control system, including dual-frequency bass extension and treble adjustment, allowing users to adapt the speakers to different room acoustics or placement needs.
FiiO SP5 ACTIVE SPEAKERS SUPPORT MULTIPLE CONNECTIONS
Connectivity options include RCA, AUX, balanced XLR, and USB Type-C inputs. Each input has its own independent volume memory. Volume control is handled via an electronic encoder and front-mounted knob, offering stepless adjustment.
WIRELESS OPTIONS AND APP SUPPORT
The SP5 supports Bluetooth audio using codecs such as LDAC and aptX Adaptive. The FiiO Control App (iOS/Android) provides access to a 10-band PEQ and speaker settings via mobile or desktop devices.
The SP5 includes a trigger input for automatic power-on with connected devices, an IR remote, RGB LED indicators for input selection, and a pair of Furukawa oxygen-free copper power cables.
