FIIO K15 DESKTOP DAC AND HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER TO DEBUT AT CANJAM LONDON 2025

FiiO will unveil its latest all-in-one desktop solution, the FiiO K15 Desktop DAC and Headphone Amplifier, at CanJam London on 19th July 2025.

Designed for audiophiles seeking high performance at a competitive price, the K15 promises robust digital-to-analogue conversion, powerful headphone amplification, and a wide array of connectivity options.

FiiO K15 DESKTOP DAC AND HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER

At the heart of the K15 are dual AKM AK4497S DAC chips from the latest ‘VELVET SOUND’ series, offering detailed resolution and low distortion. FiiO is among the first manufacturers to implement these DACs in a dual configuration, aiming for an immersive and natural sonic presentation. A 10-band parametric EQ is accessible via the FiiO Control app for users who prefer fine-tuning.

The K15’s fully discrete Class-AB amplifier circuit is capable of delivering up to 3000mW per channel through its balanced output. Designed to accommodate everything from sensitive in-ear monitors to high-impedance over-ear headphones, the amplifier section prioritises low noise and high current performance.

VERSATILE CONNECTIVITY AND PLAYBACK OPTIONS

FiiO has equipped the K15 with a wide range of inputs to support modern listening needs. These include USB DAC (via XMOS XU316, supporting up to 768kHz/32-bit and DSD512), Bluetooth decoding (LDAC, aptX HD, AAC), Roon Ready and AirPlay streaming, local playback via USB storage, and coaxial/optical digital inputs. Analogue inputs include both balanced and single-ended, the latter being well-suited for connecting a turntable.

BALANCED ARCHITECTURE AND SEPARATE POWER DOMAINS

The signal path within the K15 is fully balanced from DAC to amplification, helping to maintain channel separation and reduce distortion. FiiO has further refined internal design by adopting a tri-board layout—dedicated PCBs for digital, analogue, and power sections—to minimise crosstalk and interference. Independent digital and analogue power rails, along with multiple dropout regulators, ensure clean and stable current delivery throughout the unit.

TOUCHSCREEN INTERFACE AND REMOTE CONTROL

User interaction is handled via a 3.93-inch colour touchscreen and tactile control knobs. The K15 also includes an infrared remote and support for the FiiO Control app on Android and iOS, enabling remote access to features and settings from a listening position.

The FiiO K15 supports both wired and wireless connectivity for network streaming. Options include Gigabit Ethernet as well as dual-band 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi, ensuring reliable and high-speed access to networked music sources.

The K15 will be officially released on 1st August 2025. It is priced at $549 USD, £499 GBP, and €599 EUR. Atendees at CanJam London will be able to experience the K15 paired with FiiO’s flagship FT7 headphones.
