A NEW LOOK UNVEILED AT NORTH WEST AUDIO SHOW 2025
Cambridge Audio has officially launched its new visual identity, marking a significant rebrand for the British HiFi manufacturer. The refreshed branding was first seen publicly over the weekend at the North West Audio Show 2025, where the company showcased a reimagined image that blends its rich audio heritage with a modern, design-led approach, ahead of the London launch last night.
Developed in collaboration with UK-based branding agency Only, the updated identity reflects Cambridge’s goal of resonating more deeply with contemporary music lovers while retaining its core commitment to high-performance sound.
CAMBRIDGE REBRAND LAUNCH EVENT
On the 25th June, Cambridge Audio held an event to unveil their new branding alongside the two new products. Held at Nine Lives, round the corner from Cambridge Audio HQ in London Bridge, this event was all about showing the future of HiFi from Cambridge Audio. Simon Osborne-Walker was on hand to introduce the products, and there were plenty of Cambridge staff around if you had any questions.
Starting with the new branding, you’ll notice that they have dropped the word Audio from their name and have gone with a bold new font to signal their renewed commitment to being “Made by Music”. They are going for a more modern look and are aiming to connect people with music and elevate the way we experience music. They also mentioned that whilst it may be a new age for Cambridge, it reflects their heritage and their passion to always be inspired by music, shaped by culture and crafted by design.

CAMBRIDGE AUDIO EVO 150 SE STREAMING AMP
The centrepiece of Cambridge’s latest product announcements is the Cambridge Audio Evo 150 SE, a special edition of the original Evo 150 streaming amplifier. While it retains the minimalist retro-modern design and compact footprint of its predecessor, this model introduces enhanced internal components and refinements for a more musical and engaging listening experience.
Engineered at the company’s London HQ, Melomania, the Evo 150 SE delivers 150W per channel into 8 Ohms, powered by Hypex NCOREx Class D modules that have been specially “Tuned by Cambridge.” These amplifiers were chosen for their high efficiency and ability to maintain the brand’s signature musicality while driving a broad range of speakers.
CAMBRIDGE AUDIO EVO 150 SE STREAMING AND CONNECTIVITY
The Evo 150 SE incorporates Cambridge Audio’s in-house StreamMagic Gen 4 platform, allowing seamless streaming from major services including Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Amazon Music, Qobuz, Deezer, and Internet Radio. It also offers Roon Ready support, along with UPnP, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, and Bluetooth aptX HD, ensuring compatibility with virtually every streaming environment.
On the physical side, it includes HDMI ARC, a moving-magnet phono stage, balanced XLR, and digital inputs including USB and coaxial. An ESS SABRE ES9018k2m DAC handles digital-to-analogue conversion. Twin speaker outputs enable dual-zone playback, and the Evo 150 SE is also designed to pair seamlessly with the matching Evo CD transport.
DESIGN AND INTERFACE UPDATES IN CAMBRIDGE AUDIO EVO 150 SE
The special edition brings subtle but effective design refinements. A redesigned dual-concentric volume knob and updated inner control ring in Lunar Grey offer tactile and visual enhancements. Side panels – included in both real wood and modern ridged finishes – are magnetically attached and swappable, giving users the freedom to adapt the unit’s appearance.
A 6.8-inch colour display offers a choice of album artwork, clock, or VU meter visuals. The intuitive interface is managed via an updated StreamMagic app, or through a dedicated remote control.
CAMBRIDGE AUDIO MELOMANIA A100 TRUE WIRELESS EARPHONES
In addition to the Evo 150 SE, Cambridge has also launched the Cambridge Audio Melomania A100, a new set of true wireless earbuds designed to deliver the company’s signature HiFi sound in a compact, portable form. Like the Evo 150 SE, the A100 carries the new Cambridge branding and has been tuned at the Melomania HQ.
Key features include Class AB amplification—a rarity in true wireless designs—alongside custom 10mm Neodymium drivers, support for LDAC and aptX Lossless, and the introduction of Cambridge’s new DynamEQ technology, which adjusts tonal balance at low volumes for consistent sound quality.
CAMBRIDGE AUDIO MELOMANIA A100 COMFORT AND CONNECTIVITY
The Melomania A100 also supports Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) via a hybrid mic system, and offers up to 11 hours of playback on a single charge (39 hours total with case). A quick 10-minute charge gives up to 3 additional hours of playback.
Customisation is central to the A100’s experience: the updated Melomania Connect app allows users to tailor EQ profiles and remap touch controls. Connectivity is powered by Bluetooth 5.4, with Multipoint support enabling the earbuds to stay connected to two devices simultaneously.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The Cambridge Audio Evo 150 SE will be available from July 2025, priced at £1999 / €2399 / $3299. The Cambridge Audio Melomania A100 is available now in Black or White, priced at £119 / €139 / $149.99.
Both products are part of Cambridge’s new direction, which blends engineering heritage with modern design and user-focused innovation – all while staying true to the brand’s founding principle: connecting people to the power of music.
HiFi PiG Says: The new look for the Cambridge brand is clean, fresh and cool, just like their products.
