HiFi PiG CHECKS OUT THE SIDE SHOWS HAPPENING AT THE SAME TIME AS HIGH END MUNICH 2025
Regular visitors to High End Munich will know that the huge show has, over the years, spawned some off site events that, while they are not organised by the High End Society, provide some extra options for exhibitors that maybe couldn’t get a room or stand in the MOC.
HiFiDeluxe has been running for several years and is held in the Munich Marriott hotel, a short drive away from the MOC, and over at the incredible Motorworld, high end HiFi mixes with luxury high performance vehicles, literally across the road from the MOC.
Stu and Lin had a couple of events over at Motorworld on Thursday evening (thank you Qobuz and Kii Audio) but Oscar was able to get over there for a proper look around at what was on show.
This is followed by a selection of photos from HiFi Deluxe by Andreas and Kirsten.

MOTORWORLD MUNICH 2025
I could have spent all day just looking at all the incredible, and rare, cars over at Motorworld – but here was some audio kit to cover so let’s dive right in.
DORPO
First off, I attended a press release for a new brand called Dorpo, The brainchild of two ex-OPPO Digital executives, they have announced a range of media players (all supporting 8K video for futureproofing) alongside a single streaming DAC with fully balanced headphone output (with the capability of playing back locally stored files).

KLIPSCH HOME THEATRE ROOM
Klipsch unveiled their new Flexus Core 300 Soundbar, which was paired with 2 subs and 2 small rear satellite speakers to create a surround system – and it sounded great.
However, they also had a full surround setup powered by an Onkyo receiver – whilst the soundbar demo was great, this system was incredible. Huge sound, room shaking bass that was musical and clear, this was a fun experience.
There were a couple of Onkyo amplifiers on display, which are due to be released in the future, along with an Onkyo concept turntable (that may, or may not, be released one day).
LINKWITZ
Linkwitz make some intriguing speakers with rotating open baffle tops for easier setup in room. They were using an Analogue Design TP-1000 reel-to-reel tape player as the source,
VERTERE
In here they were playing their new DGX turntable with Mystic cartridge into their Calon phonostage, FM Acoustics pre-amp and FM Acoustics power amps – running a pair of PMC MB2 XBD speakers. Really beautiful sound in this room, effortless, natural, and full.
DALI
A few new things from Dali here – firstly, the KORE come in a new range of colours, secondly the EPIKORE now come in a white finish, and thirdly they have a brand-new flagship subwoofer, the V-16 F. Colours are lovely however, a sub featuring Purifi’s ushindi driver not only looks good, it is a 16” driver backed up by 1500w of amplification, a 90-litre cabinet, 4 flare ports tuned to 18Hz and a frequency response that goes down to 19Hz (-3dB in room). This is a bit of a beast of a sub.
There was also a range of NAD products on display in this room too. And they had the Dali Epikore 3 playing in a demo system with the NAD M33 streaming DAC/pre-amp, NAD M23 power amplifier, AudioQuest Niagara 3000 power conditioner + AudioQuest cabling.
ATR AUDIO TRADE
ATR distribute a wide range of brands, in these rooms + corridor they had a wide range of products on display and demo. We had Rotel’s new DX-3 and DX-5, some Canton speakers, the new ATC SCM-20, Rotel Michi S5 series amplifier, P5 Series 2 pre-amp and Q5 CD player/DAC. We had Wiim and their range of streamers, amplifiers and streaming amplifiers, along with one of their new streaming home speakers. Pro-Ject turntables, speakers, and electronics were also on display, there were some of the Cabasse active lifestyle speakers, Kimber Kables, KS Digital speakers and Mytek electronics.
In another room they had darTZeel electronics on display, Stenheim speakers on demo paired with Westend Audio valve amps, Thiele Audio turntables, and another setup with Acousence DAC-Pre / CD transport and Pow-Amp. I bumped into Satoshi-San from Final and had a listen to their new A10000 – wow, what an earphone, it uses a true diamond diaphragm and really is something special, with a wonderfully realistic tonality and balance.
There was a range of Stax headphones and amplifiers on demo in here too, Copland amplifiers on display and Waversa systems electronics.
YG / GOLD NOTE / AVM
YG Acoustics had some incredible speakers at AXPONA 2025, the speakers in this room were nearly as impressive, with fantastic sound coming from them (along with a lot of cabling). These speakers are called Gemini and they were being run off a full AVM / Siltech setup.
Elsewhere we had plenty of Gold Note kit in this room, with them showcasing their new external power supplies for the first time – PST-X: for turntables, PSX-10: for the 10 Series and PSX-5: for the 5 Series.
MARTION
Some more horns, this time from Martion Audio Systems – the Aeonor. They use Spherical Wavefronts and are engineered to generate coherent spherical wavefronts. To maintain this geometry across the entire frequency range, a transducer efficiency of at least 110 dB/W/m is essential. They were using a Source Integrity: L’Art du Son Transcription Reference turntable as the source, they also had their smaller Bullfrog speakers on display in the room.

TAD AUDIOVERTRIEB GMBH
TAD (not to be confused with TAD Labs, the Japanese HiFi brand) are another German distributor who represent quite a few brands, including Rega, Cyrus, Fyne Audio, Pinell, Ruark, Unison Research and more. The Cyrus system in use featured the new 40 series but big news was the unveiling of the new Cyrus 80 series, which is full-size rather than their usual half-width chassis designs…you can read all the details in our news story, here.
AIRPLAIN
Active speakers from Switzerland with steel cabinets – they had a new model called the five on show for the first time. Their speakers use AMT tweeters and I listened to the Phli WEISS-Edition, very impressive full range sound from these speakers with bass that goes deep and exceptional clarity from the AMT tweeter.
Well, that’s it from me, and the last show in Munich, Here’s to Vienna next year!
