WILSON BENESCH GRAVITON Ti TONEARM MAKES GLOBAL DEBUT AT HIGH END MUNICH 2025
British manufacturer Wilson Benesch is unveiling its new Wilson Benesch GRAVITON Ti Tonearm at High End Munich 2025.
Evolving from the version originally integrated into the brand’s flagship GMT One System Turntable, the GRAVITON Ti is now available as a standalone product, developed specifically for compatibility with the Dohmann Helix One Mk3 turntable.
WILSON BENESCH GRAVITON Ti TONEARM
At the heart of the GRAVITON Ti Tonearm is a moulded carbon fibre armtube strengthened with a graphene epoxy matrix. This composite structure combines uni-directional carbon fibre with a Rohacell core and quadruple helix layering, offering superior stiffness and damping. These properties are essential for precise playback, allowing the stylus to trace the record groove with minimal interference or coloration.

GRAVITON Ti TONEARM BUILDS ON WILSON BENESCH’S ANALOGUE HERITAGE
The GRAVITON Ti builds on decades of Wilson Benesch’s pioneering work in composite tonearm design, tracing its origins to the A.C.T. One Tonearm launched in 1989. Core principles, such as hyperbolic tube geometry, monolithic construction, and optimised fibre orientation, remain central to the GRAVITON Ti’s performance. These design elements have since been validated by academic partners through research programmes including the EU-backed SSUCHY Project.
GRAVITON Ti TONEARM UTILISES SLS TITANIUM COMPONENTS
In collaboration with researchers from the University of Sheffield and the FEMTO Institute, Wilson Benesch has employed Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) to produce titanium parts for the GRAVITON Ti. The process enables the creation of internal lattice structures modelled on natural geometries. These deliver excellent strength-to-weight ratios, damping properties, and a precisely optimised centre of gravity—all vital for minimising vibrational energy and improving tracking accuracy.
The GRAVITON Ti Tonearm incorporates Wilson Benesch’s STAGE One design, originally developed for the GMT® One System. This structure allows the tonearm cable to be terminated close to the pivot point in a copper-shielded housing. The proximity helps protect the delicate signal path from radio frequency interference while maintaining mechanical isolation by removing strain on the wire—a critical improvement for performance at the stylus level.
The GRAVITON Ti Tonearm will be available in a standard Matt Titanium finish. For those seeking a more customised aesthetic, Wilson Benesch will also offer Polished Silver and Polished Gold finishes across the titanium elements.
GRAVITON Ti TONEARM PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The GRAVITON Ti Tonearm is available for order immediately, with first shipments expected from Q4 2025. The recommended retail price is £30,000 / €39,500 / $45,000 for the standard Matt Titanium finish. Optional finish upgrades are available at an additional cost.
