Bang & Olufsen has revealed an exclusive version of its iconic Beosound A9 speaker, featuring a rare image of David Bowie captured by legendary British music photographer Denis O’Regan.
Just 30 units will be produced, each blending B&O sound with a distinctive visual statement.

This unique edition brings together Bang & Olufsen’s design-led Beosound A9 with O’Regan’s photography, transforming the circular speaker into a limited-edition collector’s piece. The chosen image is printed on the speaker’s fabric cover, turning an already sculptural HiFi design into a striking tribute to Bowie’s legacy.
DENIS O’REGAN SELECTS A PERSONAL FAVOURITE FOR BEOSOUND A9 X DAVID BOWIE
O’Regan, Bowie’s most frequently commissioned photographer, handpicked one of his favourite shots for the collaboration. Taken in the 1970s, the photograph captures the charisma of Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust era. O’Regan recalls capturing the image while crouched in the aisle at Newcastle City Hall — five years before joining Bowie on two world tours.
BEOSOUND A9 DESIGN
The Beosound A9 has long stood out for its timeless form and flexibility. Designed by Øivind Alexander Slaatto, it offers placement options including wall-mounting or a freestanding setup with oak legs. With this edition, the speaker becomes a curated object – equally at home in an audiophile’s setup or an art-filled living space.

A COLLECTOR’S EDITION OF BEOSOUND A9 WITH TRUE PROVENANCE
Each Beosound A9 x David Bowie speaker includes a signed and numbered 12″ x 8″ print of the image by Denis O’Regan, a printed box sleeve, and a Certificate of Authenticity.
The Beosound A9 x David Bowie Edition will be available from Friday 25th April 2025. Each speaker is priced at £3,995.
