The FiiO KA15 USB DAC headphone amplifier has been designed as a compact yet powerful way to get HiFi sound at home or on the go, with a cool retro cassette styling.
FiiO has launched the KA15, a compact portable digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) and headphone amplifier The KA15 is powered by a dual DAC setup using two Cirrus Logic CS43198 chips and a high-performance THX AAA-78 amplifier.
Following the release of the FiiO CP13 portable cassette tape players, the KA15 has a distinctly retro vibe with its cassette tape casing.

Supporting high-resolution audio formats, the KA15 is compatible with PCM playback up to 32-bit/768kHz, DSD512, and MQA rendering, allowing users to experience studio-quality sound on the go. It delivers up to 450mW per channel at 32Ω, making it capable of driving even demanding headphones.
DUAL CIRRUS DACS
The dual DAC architecture is a standout feature of the KA15, along with the THX AAA-78 amplifier.
In terms of connectivity, the device is equipped with a USB-C input and offers both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced outputs, ensuring compatibility with a wide variety of headphones and earphones.
The KA15 also features multiple gain settings—low, medium, and high—allowing users to adjust output levels based on the impedance of their headphones or earphones. A low-power mode is included for those prioritising battery life during mobile use.
An RGB LED indicator changes colour based on the audio file’s bitrate or format, providing users with real-time feedback on their listening experience. Weighing just 50 grams, the KA15 offers portability too.
