LAUNCHED AT BRISTOL HIFI SHOW HERE’S ALL THE INFO ON THE WHARFEDALE SUPER DENTON
Wharfedale, one of Britain’s most well-known loudspeaker brands with a legacy dating back to 1932, unveiled its latest addition to the Heritage Series at The Bristol HiFi Show 2024, the compact three-way Wharfedale Super Denton.
HERITAGE SERIES
Wharfedale’s Heritage Series pays homage to classic stereo speakers from the 1960s and 1970s, re-engineered for modern audiophiles.
The Wharfedale Super Denton joins a lineup that includes the Denton 80, Denton 85, Linton, and Dovedale, all of which have a blend of vintage aesthetics and contemporary performance. This latest release harkens back to the original Denton model introduced in 196.
WHARFEDALE SUPER DENTON LOUDSPEAKERS
Super Denton features a compact size and three-way driver configuration. Measuring 360x246x275mm (HxWxD). The speaker features domed midrange and treble units, along with a 165mm bass driver made of woven Kevlar, delivering bass extension down to 40Hz.

CROSSOVER
The crossover, which divides frequencies between the drivers, is designed with air-core inductor coils and high-specification polypropylene capacitors to ensure seamless blending of the outputs.
DRIVERS
The midrange and treble units are offset from the center to scatter reflections, while internal bracing and damping materials control cabinet resonances. Real-wood veneers in walnut, mahogany, or black lend a vintage charm to the exterior, while a magnetic grille, designed to be listened to with the speakers, enhances the overall performance.
