Six years after DS E-Tense, Focal and DS Automobiles have partnered to produce DS E-Tense Performance, with a Focal Utopia in car audio system.
FOCAL UTOPIA IN CAR HIFI
Inspired by Formula E motorsports, this 100% electric concept car features an onboard Focal Utopia HiFi system, and, in a bold, creative move, the two French brands have gone yet further by creating a special edition of the Focal Scala Utopia Evo loudspeakers in the DS E-Tense colours.
DS E-TENSE PERFORMANCE CONCEPT CAR
The motorsport-inspired, DS E-Tense Performance features a 600 kW (815 hp) dual electric motor, four-wheel drive and a carbon shell. This electric prototype is the first French car to exceed 800 hp. The chassis, powertrain and battery each employ innovative solutions accompanied by the sound of a Focal Utopia HiFi system. The nine speaker drivers distributed around the passenger compartment are positioned to create an immersive sound experience.
FOCAL SCALA UTOPIA EVO IRIDESCENT
With its hologram grille and flowing lines, DS E-Tense Performance has a highly aerodynamic body shape. The paintwork features an interference coating that creates an iridescent effect. Colour perception varies according to outdoor conditions and the angle of viewing, creating a striking contrast effect with the shiny black surfaces.
In homage to these colours Focal and DS Automobiles have designed a special edition of the Focal Scala Utopia Evo loudspeaker in the same colours. This is an entirely new custom finish for the Focal loudspeaker from their flagship range.
