432 EVO EXO MUSIC SERVER NEW MODEL ANNOUNCED

432 evo exo music server hifi news

The new 432 EVO EXO music server has been announced as a crossover model that combines features from the existing 432 EVO Standard, including Roon and LMS support, and the familiar playback modes of 432 Hz conversion, upsampling and bit-perfect output.

The 432 EVO EXO is designed to operate as a silent unit when fitted with SSD storage and offers a flexible approach to library expansion and system integration. Plus 432OS becomes the standard operating system across all 432 EVO products.

432 EVO EXO MUSIC SERVER

The 432 EVO EXO comes with a 960GB internal data-centre grade SSD, of which around 850GB is allocated for music storage. The unit features two hot-swap drive bays suitable for enterprise hard drives or large SSDs. RAID1 mirroring is supported, and storage upgrades can be remotely assisted by 432 EVO as part of a managed approach. While the internal Teac CD drive seen in previous models is not included, the EXO’s dual front USB ports allow the use of an external USB optical drive for ripping.

Positioned as a flexible and more affordable entry point into the brand’s music server catalogue, the 432 EVO EXO is intended for home systems, custom installations and even industry testing environments. The 432 Hz tuning and upsampling options remain key features across use cases.

432OS BECOMES STANDARD ACROSS 432 EVO RANGE

From 2026, 432OS will become the only supported operating system across the company’s server lineup. 432OS has been the default OS since summer 2024 and is backed by ten years of planned updates. Users with sufficiently recent hardware can migrate to the OS by returning their existing drive for reinstallation or by purchasing a new drive pre-configured with 432OS. Older servers dating back to 2013 also retain an upgrade path, although some may require additional work to support the transition.

432 EVO designer and company owner, Frederic Vanden Poel, tells us that 432OS is intended to offer faster performance, improved stability, stronger security and extended future support. It also introduces new upsampling filters, including enhanced Intermediate Phase and Linear Phase options. These updated processing filters are already available to 432OS users through the update server.

432 EVO EXO PUBLIC DEBUT AND SHOW DEMONSTRATIONS

The 432 EVO EXO will be shown at the New Music show in Brussels, Belgium, on 8–9 November. In addition, the company will demonstrate the 432 EVO Master server with the new upsampling filters, partnered with an external DAC and monoblock amplifiers, playing through Amphion Argon 7LS loudspeakers.

432 EVO EXO MUSIC SERVER AVAILABILITY AND PRICING

Pricing for the 432 EVO EXO is TBC and will be announced at the show.

HiFi PiG Says: If you are visiting the show this weekend we recommend having a listen to the 432 EVO system, we have always been impressed!
