Fosi Audio Marks Ninth Anniversary With Four New Products
Fosi Audio is celebrating its ninth anniversary with four new products covering personal listening, desktop audio, CDs and music streaming.
The new range includes the Carbon12 in-ear monitors, ZH1 desktop DAC and headphone amplifier, DISC Nano portable CD player and S3 Lite streaming transport.

Carbon12 in-ear monitors
The Carbon12 uses a single 12mm driver with a thin carbon-fibre diaphragm. Fosi Audio says it has tuned the earphones for a warm sound that places particular emphasis on vocals.
Each earpiece weighs 7.5g and combines a titanium-alloy body with a carbon-fibre faceplate. The detachable silver-plated cable uses standard 0.78mm two-pin connections, allowing it to be replaced if necessary.
The Carbon12 has an impedance of 37 ohms, so it should work with a range of portable music players and headphone equipment.
ZH1 desktop DAC and headphone amplifier
The ZH1 is designed for listening through wired headphones at a computer or gaming setup. It combines a DAC, which converts digital music into an audio signal, with a headphone amplifier.
It supports high-resolution music files up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD512. Other features include balanced headphone output, adjustable EQ and RGB lighting.
You will need a computer or another digital music source, plus a pair of wired headphones.
DISC Nano portable CD player
The DISC Nano is a compact portable CD player with a partly exposed spinning disc. It includes 3.5mm and balanced 4.4mm headphone outputs, along with Bluetooth transmission for wireless headphones or speakers.
A MagSafe-compatible ring allows it to be attached to suitable magnetic mounts. It uses USB-C charging and has an 800mAh battery, with a stated playing time of two hours.
S3 Lite streaming transport
The S3 Lite is designed to add streaming to an existing HiFi system without replacing its DAC. It connects to an external DAC using USB, optical or coaxial digital outputs.
Supported services and systems include Google Cast, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, DLNA and Roon Ready. It can also play music stored on a network drive or local storage.
The accompanying app includes a ten-band EQ and several sound presets. Network connections include dual-band WiFi and Ethernet, while Google Cast and AirPlay 2 provide multiroom playback.
