Audio Technica Sound Burger Gets New Blue And Green Finishes

October 15, 2026

Audio-Technica has added blue and green versions of its Sound Burger portable turntable. The two colours are exclusive to Europe and cost £199 / €249, giving vinyl fans a fresh choice of finishes for the compact record player.

The new versions keep the Sound Burger’s combination of Bluetooth, wired listening and a rechargeable battery. This is a colour update to the existing design, with the same straightforward idea: a turntable that takes up relatively little space and can move between listening spots.

A Smaller Way Into Vinyl

A full-sized turntable can take up a fair amount of a desk or shelf. The Sound Burger’s narrow body offers a different approach, with the record extending beyond the player as it spins. That makes the unit compact, although you still need enough clear space around it for the record.

It plays records at both 33⅓ and 45 RPM, covering the speeds used by most albums and singles. Its belt-drive mechanism uses a belt to transfer rotation from the motor to the platter that supports the record.

Bluetooth Or A Wired Connection

Bluetooth lets the Sound Burger send music wirelessly to compatible listening equipment. Wired listening is also supported, so there is a choice of how to connect it to a system.

For a first vinyl setup, the important thing is to plan how you will hear your records as well as how you will play them. You will need compatible playback equipment, such as a Bluetooth speaker, alongside the turntable.

Battery Power For Moving Between Rooms

Audio-Technica quotes up to 12 hours of playback from the built-in rechargeable battery. That allows listening away from a power socket, while the compact format makes it easier to move the player between rooms or take it to a friend’s house.

The announcement also highlights a matching carry case. A price for the case is not given, and it is not listed as included in the £199 turntable price.

Price And Availability
